About Me I'm a thirty-eight year old mother of seven. Used to work in the chemistry industry, but now run a pretty-good sized open circle in Michigan. I'm a master in Usui Reiki and Run Valdr. I spend my free time being hopelessly head over heels in love with the love of all my lives, Shadowdragon, and toasting eternity together with good mead.

Music Jimmy Buffet, the Ramones, the Eels, the Doors, Rolling Stones, Ozzie, David Benoit, a lot more from a lot of different genres.

Movies Kind of like music, I like a lot of different movies. I HATE slasher pics and don't have any patience whatsoever for a movie that goes out of it's way to not end on a happy note. So sue me. I don't watch movies to be enlightened.

TV ummmm.... I don't watch tv much. I do like South Park.

Books How about authors. Bill Bryson, David Sedaris, Clive Barker, Douglas Adams, Diana Gabaldon, TH White, Pablo Neruda, Elizabeth Peters, and a whole bunch more.

Likes Dragons! Seriously, backrubs, thunderstorms, candlelight, dancing, music, mead, getting silly with friends.

Dislikes Mean people who have nothing better to do than cause problems for others. Closed minds. Anybody who ever says they are "performing a witch war." (Oh, please. Just grow up.) Canned peas. I really, really hate canned peas.

Hobbies Reading, writing (esp poetry), jewelry, crafty type things like candle making.

Vices But if it's something that is an act of love or pleasure, it isn't a vice, now is it?

Virtues I'm a good friend and an excellent listener. I do my very best to help people whenever I can. I am also an excellent cook. But I only make desserts. I also make a mean sangria.

Heroes You know, Doreen Valiente, Gandhi, Mother Theresa, the usual. People who are here to really make a difference.

I found out this weekend that there is still a rumor going around that I'm a "dark witch" and "put death hexes" on people. If by "dark witch" they mean that I'm not all love and light, I'll give them that. My practice aspires to perfect love, which is not always pleasant to work with as any parent knows. I follow a traditional Wiccan path that recognizes the dark and the light. Like thousands of other people.

Here is how I respond to the "death hex" portion:

1) The person(s) making the accusations are still alive and I am better than that.

2) I DON'T do death hexes.

This is how my husband, Shadowdragon, responds:

No, no. It's not a death hex. It's a look-like-an-idiot curse. Seems to be working!

Now, once again, to anyone who says, thinks, or feels that they are in some kind of "witch war," I say:

JUST GROW UP.

of the fig to the pomegranate?
